TONE Matters - Issue 02Safety Awarded
T3 Futures Project: Tone brings home 10 Safety Awards

Not satisfied with winning the Mace Site Safety Awards two months in a row, Tone personnel working at T3 were awarded with a record number of safety awards by BAA’s Chief Safety Advisor, Bob Pettman. When he made the award Bob announced, “I have worked for BAA for 10 years and in that time I have only
issued 3 safety awards. Today I am issuing 10 in one go, to the men of Tone Scaffolding.” .

5 Years on at Potters Bar
In May 2002 disaster hit Potters Bar when rail carriages from a fast train slewed across the track on the approach to the station. Little known at the time but essential – Tone were called in to shore up the aftermath of the horrendous incident. Tone could almost be considered an emergency service without the blue lamp, setting the path for rescue and repair, securing structures to prevent further collapse and aide access to retrieve debris and victims.

Dangerous Structures Made Safe
London Boroughs call Tone in to help make buildings safe from small 6 bar jobs to projects requiring an entire yard full of scaffolding. It’s dangerous out there – someone has to do it – Tone came to the rescue when the top 2 floors of a office building collapsed in central London. The building had to be made safe so access could be gained for evaluation and later repair work to be carried out with the safety of the inspecting surveyors and builders paramount.
